Sam Ballweg is the new, fourth-generation president of Waunakee-based Endres Manufacturing Co., a family business with an 87-year history of steel fabrication, the company announced Wednesday.

Founded in 1926 by Lawrence Endres Sr., the company was taken over in 1948 by his son, Larry Jr., who turned over leadership in 1990 to his son-in-law, Ken Ballweg, who will remain as company CEO.

Sam Ballweg earned a business degree from Boston College and then worked outside the family business before returning to Endres in 2004.
