The formidable women who helped kicked off the Cap Times Idea Fest last weekend had formidable resumes indeed, from former gubernatorial candidate Mary Burke to pioneering tech executive Jan Eddy.

However, the conversation they ended up having with reporter Katelyn Ferral ended up focusing on the vulnerable side of their success — the fear, failure and struggle that lined the roads of their careers. Joining Burke and Eddy were Nancy Hanks of the Madison School District, Kathi Seifert of Katapult and Alisa Toninato of FeLion Studios.

You can listen to their conversation in this episode of Live from Cap Times Idea Fest, a podcast that brings you recordings of the many panels and interviews featured at the inaugural event.
