Join our autumnal celebration of the natural world and outdoor recreation featuring exhibits along a torch-lit trail with many live critters, kids' tree climb, and interactive games. 

Also enjoy a silent auction, bonfire, s'mores and live music from the Poor Hearts. Seasonal treats such as chili, hot dogs, homemade pie and cider are for sale.
 
Hosted by the Friends of the Capital Springs Recreation Area, Harvest Moon Festival brings together many community organizations such as Aldo Leopold Nature Center, Madison Audubon Society, Henry Vilas Zoo, Mad City Disc Golf, Madison Metropolitan Sewerage District and UW-Madison Entomology Department in a picturesque setting of prairie and marsh.
 
Two all-terrain wheelchairs are available for use at no charge - please call 608-224-3606 to reserve. Admission is $5.00, and children five and under are free. Military children are free with parent's military identification. 
 
All proceeds support Friends' ongoing environmental education programming and park improvements at the 2,500-acre Capital Springs Recreation Area located in the Madison area.
