Tandem Press, a printmaking studio affiliated with the University of Wisconsin-Madison's art department, launched its Partners in Prints program in summer 2016. In September of that year, Tandem revealed a work by master printmaker Dan Rizzie called "Doty's Robin." This year's piece, created in a limited edition of 50 prints, will be revealed in December.
“It’s a gamble, and that’s why the price point is a little bit lower” than market value, said J. Myszka Lewis, a co-curator at Tandem Press with Sona Pastel-Daneshgar.
For individual collectors and museum buyers, “it’s a way for them to build their collection at a pretty affordable price,” Lewis said.
