A man sitting on a toilet at Wiggie's Bar was ordered to take his clothes off by a man wielding a sawed-off shotgun, police reported.
According to police, the man lost his money to the gunman before reporting the alleged crime to a bartender. The incident reportedly happened about 12:30 a.m. Thursday at the bar at 1901 Aberg Ave.
Madison police said the victim, a 43-year-old Madison man, reported he was in a stall when the suspect pushed open the stall door.
"He said this person had a sawed-off shotgun and ordered him to take off all his clothes," said police spokesman Joel DeSpain.
The victim said the suspect took his money and tossed the clothes into a corner of the restroom before exiting.
"The victim said he got dressed and reported the crime to the bartender," DeSpain said.
However, a different bar employee said he saw the victim standing at a urinal just prior to the alleged robbery and not in a stall.
The case remains under investigation.
