A cold front will bring showers through Wisconsin Friday night into Saturday, but the rain is not expected to arrive in south central Wisconsin until mid-day Saturday.
Weather Central meteorologist Brian Olson said it should be cloudy and 50 for the 11 a.m. kickoff at the Wisconsin-Michigan football game, but showers are expected in the afternoon.
The National Weather Service said there's a 40 percent chance of rain on Saturday and a 30 percent chance Saturday night.
Sunshine returns on Sunday with a high of 49.
The work week should be a mixed bag of sun, clouds and a few chances for rain, mainly mid-week, but there's no snow in the forecast.
That's good news for drivers but not good news for deer hunters who are preparing for the statewide deer hunt that starts a week from Saturday on Nov. 21.
Highs during the week are expected to be in the upper 40s and lows should be in the low to mid-30s.
Thursday's high in Madison was 53, 8 degrees above normal and 11 degrees below the record high of 64 for Nov. 12, set in 1964.
The low on Thursday was 25, 4 degrees below normal and 18 degrees above the the record low of 7 for the day, set in 1986.
