A 33-year-old Madison man was seriously injured Tuesday afternoon after his bicycle was hit by a Jeep that failed to stop at a red light.
Rosalio Salvidez Ramos, 21, Madison, was cited for running the red light and operating without a valid driver's license while causing great bodily harm, following the crash about 4 p.m. at South Park Street and Wingra Drive.
Madison police said the driver was northbound on Park when he collided with the bicyclist.
"The victim rolled up and over the Jeep and was transported to a local hospital with a skull fracture," said police spokesman Joel DeSpain. "Doctors indicated he would likely recover from the injury."
