Marty Baron and David Maraniss, both of the Washington Post, discuss the challenges for journalists during Donald Trump's presidency at the Cap Times Idea Fest.

Many people know Marty Baron as the character portrayed by Liev Schrieber in the Oscar-winning film "Spotlight." Others know him as a Pulitzer Prize winner and one of the most influential newspaper editors of the past 30 years.

Baron, editor of the Washington Post since 2012, spoke with Madison native David Maraniss, a Pulitzer Prize winner himself and the Post's associate editor, at the Cap Times Idea Fest last weekend. Their talk touched on the future of journalism, what the Donald Trump presidency has meant for the press and some of the groundbreaking stories that Baron has helped make happen.

You can listen to their conversation in this episode of Live from Cap Times Idea Fest, a podcast that brings you recordings of the many panels and interviews featured at the inaugural event.
