Dear Editor: Oprah? No.

One of the worst lasting legacies of the Trump administration (so many to choose from) will be the absolute demolition of all standards for political decency. Anything goes now, and here we are, seriously contemplating Oprah 2020.

Please, no. I won't trade one totally unqualified billionaire TV star for another totally unqualified billionaire TV star, no matter how much more liberal/dignified/sane she would be as president (and the bars are set low, indeed!). Oprah is clearly intelligent, charismatic, and successful — which does go a long way toward getting elected, but there should be no acceptable substitute for actual political experience.

Just say no to celebocracy.
