Dear Editor: King Bishop Robert Morlino has spoken (regarding funeral rights for those in gay unions), and I do hope that all his subjects choose to stand up and say no, we will NOT live out our faith in hatred, misunderstand, and the exclusion of others. It pains my heart to the core to hear his latest dictatorial proclamations. I have many wonderful friends, and a wonderful daughter, all who are committed to their partners, many of whom are now happily married. Singling them out as the "other," not worthy of God's love, is a sin against all that Christ has taught. I challenge the priests and parishioners of the Catholic faith to not follow blindly but to live their lives as Christ taught. His teachings, his life, doesn't remotely resemble Morlino's dictates.
