Inside a small converted house on Willy Street, La Kitchenette owner Virginie Ok makes rustic French classics like onion soup gratinée, petit salé aux lentilles (stewed salted pork with lentils) and a mountain dish called tartiflette made with an entire wheel of brie.

Ok was born in Paris with Cambodian roots, and she took over the former Chez Nanou space in 2016. Ok joins Cap Times food writer Lindsay Christians on the podcast this week to talk about what she makes to warm up in the winter — simple, aromatic dishes often stewed or baked for hours.
