Observe Armistice Day with a special concert 7 p.m. Saturday at the Barrymore Theatre, 2090 Atwood Ave. Folksinger Si Kahn (U.S. Army Reserves veteran), Jim Walktendonk (Vietnam veteran), and gospel singers Will Williams (Vietnam veteran) and his wife, Dot, are featured along with The Madison Gospelaires and Mad City Funk.
David Giffey (Vietnam veteran, combat journalist) will emcee the event that is built around the theme voiced by Veterans for Peace nationally, that Nov. 11 should return to its roots as a day for peace, calling for an end to all wars as it did 99 years ago.
Tickets are $15/general admission, $10/veterans and those unemployed, and can be purchased at the door or in advance.

‘The Addams Family’
Join Madison Area Technical College’s (MATC) performing arts department for an evening of ooky fun at “The Addams Family: A New Musical Comedy” 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, or an afternoon of kooky fun 2 p.m. Sunday, in MATC’s Mitby Theater, 1701 Wright St. A now-grown-up Wednesday brings her “normal” boyfriend home for dinner.

Winter art fair
Peruse pottery, paintings, photography, and plenty more pieces of art in a variety of mediums from more than 135 Wisconsin artists at Winter Art Fair Off the Square 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at Monona Terrace. Special performances by Madison Suzuki Strings students and advanced piano students will also be part of the entertainment.
