Soundgarden’s Chris Cornell will play a special acoustic show at the Orpheum Theater on Saturday, November 2, promoters announced Thursday morning.

The show will feature acoustic arrangements of songs throughout Cornell’s solo career and with the grunge rock band best known for the hit “Black Hole Sun.” The tour will also feature songs from 2012’s “King Animal,” Soundgarden’s first album since 1996.

Tickets are $40 to $45 through, B-Side Records and 1-800-345-7000, and go on sale Friday, Aug. 23 at 10 a.m. One dollar from every ticket sold will go to the Chris and Vicky Cornell Foundation, a non-profit which aids vulnerable children, and a portion of show proceeds will be donated to the ChildHaven Creative Music Therapy Program.

American/Sri Lankan folk artist Bhi Bhiman will open the show.
