Where are the “Pretty Little Liars” now?
That's a question fans have been wondering ever since the series ended (and a new one starts filming in March).
Here are your answers:
While Lucy Hale (Aria Montgomery) took a month off working after the Freeform series ended, she jumped back into the TV world with “Life Sentence,” a new drama on The CW. In it, she plays a woman who has been told she no longer has cancer. Instead of living like she was dying, she realizes she needs to get a job and deal with reality. The series premieres in March.
Troian Bellisario (Spencer Hastings) was one of the few cast members to direct an episode of “PLL,” she’s sticking with acting. She has two films ready for audiences: “Clara” and “Where’d You Go Bernadette.” The latter, directed by Richard Linklater, is a comedic drama about a woman (played by Cate Blanchett) who searches for her mother and what happened to her.
Ashley Benson (Hanna Marin) just bought a 1920s Spanish-style house, according to Variety, in the Laughlin Park area of Los Angeles. No word, yet, on what her next project is.
Shay Mitchell (Emily Fields), one of the queens of social media, is still visible on most platforms. She has a film coming out in 2018 (called “Cadaver”) and a pair of TV series – “You” and “The Heiresses.” If you want to see her more quickly, check out “RuPaul’s Drag Race: All Stars.” She’s a judge there.
Sasha Pieterse (Alison DiLaurentis) was a contestant on “Dancing with the Stars” where she admitted she had Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, which caused weight gain. She, too, has a filmed coming out in 2018 (it’s called “Honored”) and a role in “PLL: The Perfectionists,” a spinoff of the mothership.
Janel Parish (Mona Vanderwaal) gets a second shot at the series, too. She’s also in “The Perfectionists.” Filming begins this month in Portland. In 2018, Parish has five films slated for release.
