The Madison Finance Committee discussed in closed session Monday whether to provide tax incremental financing (TIF) for the cancer-screening company to build a second processing lab on Madison's Southwest Side. Ald. Mark Clear, 19th District, said no vote was taken in the private meeting.

Exact Sciences, which produces the Cologuard test for colorectal cancer, has applied to the city for a $2.5 million TIF loan to help pay for its more than $50 million expansion project.
