Bonfyre American Grille, closed since last Saturday due to a kitchen fire, will reopen on Wednesday for dinner service, the restaurant announced.

The fire caused an estimated $100,000 damage and closed the restaurant at 2601 W. Beltline Highway. There were no injuries.

According to an email from Patrick B. Quinlan, Bonfyre's general manager, the restaurant will reopen next Wednesday.

"Since the incident," Quinlan said, "we have continued to deliver a substantial amount of our perishable food items to local shelters, so that others may have the opportunity to enjoy it.

"So although this was a temporary setback, it is one that we are working to move forward from."

Firefighters who arrived at the restaurant at 10:40 a.m. last Saturday found a fire in kitchen ductwork above the wood-fire grill, according to a Madison Fire Department news release.

Firefighters contained the fire and extinguished it within 30 minutes, and no other businesses in the building were disrupted.
