Madison Police squad car tight crop

A convenience store on Madison's North Side was robbed early Friday morning, with the suspect threatening to shoot if he didn't get money.

The robbery happened shortly after midnight at PDQ, 1434 Northport Drive, Madison police said.

Clerks were closing the store for the night and were escorting two customers out of the store, when one of the customers told a clerk to give him the money.

"He then repeated himself, making a comment about shooting if they didn't give him the money," said Lt. Timothy Radke.

No weapon was seen and nobody was injured.

The suspect was given money from the cash register and he fled on foot.

No description of the suspect were given.
