Madison police are looking into two gunfire incidents reported on Saturday on the city's east side, one at a bank and another at a residence.

No one was injured in either incident, and no suspects were arrested.

The two gunfire reports were at a residence in the 10 block of O'Brien Court and at Chase Bank, near the 4500 block of Milwaukee Street, the Madison Police Department said in a news release.

The locations are near each other, but there was no indication the two incidents were related.

Police went to the residence around 8:45 a.m. Saturday after a 32-year-old female resident said a window had been shot out. Police found fragments of small caliber ammunition in a wall.

"There were no suggestions that this home was the focus of any specific activity related to the incident," said police spokesman Howard Payne.

A glass window was damaged at Chase Bank as well, in a manner similar to the residential incident.

"No other disturbances were reported in the area leading up to the reported incidents," Payne said.
