A town of Pleasant Springs house was deemed a total loss in a Sunday afternoon fire, according to the Dane County Sheriff’s Office.

A neighbor alerted authorities at 4:12 p.m. of the fire at 2678 Church St. Fire departments from Cottage Grove, Deerfield, Blooming Grove, McFarland and Stoughton were among those dispatched, only to find the home in flames when they arrived.

There were no reported injuries among firefighters. No one was home at the time, and the cause is under investigation.

The house is just south of Interstate 39, about four miles east of Lake Kegonsa State Park.
