A 17-year-old boy was injured Tuesday night when he ran out in front of an SUV in Sun Prairie.

Sun Prairie Police said the pedestrian-vehicle crash happened at 9:28 p.m. just east of the Windsor Street and Davison Drive intersection.

According to the police news release, Gerald Scalissi was eastbound on Windsor Street when the teen ran across the street, not in a crosswalk.

Witnesses told police the driver had no time to react or brake.

The teen was taken to St. Mary's emergency department with non-life threatening injuries.

Scalissi was not ticketed. Alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
