The Goodman Community Center needs help for Thanksgiving.
The center at 142 Waubesa St. is trying to fill more than 2,000 baskets with food by Monday so the baskets can be distributed to families registered at the center to get the dinner fixings.
Food donations of cranberries, pumpkin pie mix, evaporated milk, canned vegetables, canned fruit, pie crust mix, stuffing and of course, turkeys, are being accepted at the center, along with pie tins and turkey roasting pans.
Donations will be accepted at the center from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
The center also is taking financial contributions so perishable items, such as milk, eggs, celery, etc. can be purchased by center staff for the baskets.
