Four Democratic candidates for county clerk gathered the required 500 signatures to be on the ballot, Dane County Clerk Karen Peters said.
The primary will be held Aug. 14 and the general election will be held Nov. 6.
The candidates are Mike Quieto, a Madison city clerk’s office employee; Santiago Rosas, a former Madison City Council member; and Scott McDonell, Dane County Board chairman, all of Madison; and Sun Prairie City Clerk Diane Hermann-Brown.
Peters, a former deputy chief clerk who was appointed clerk in 2011 to fill a retirement, is not running.
Four Democratic candidates also will run for Dane County treasurer. They are Brandon White, a former Madison alderman; County Board supervisors David Patrick de Felice and Matt Veldran; and Adam Gallagher, all of Madison. Incumbent Dave Worzala is not seeking re-election.
Incumbent Dane County Register of Deeds Kristi Chlebowski, a Democrat, is the only candidate for that office.
Kyle Richmond, who declared candidacy for county clerk, did not file nomination papers, Peters said.
