Middleton Outreach Ministry, a local non-profit organization that provides basic necessities such as food, clothing and housing assistance for needy residents in Middleton, West Madison and Cross Plains, is seeking the general community's help in raising the last $400,000 of a $1.4 million capital campaign for improved facilities.
To finish this year, the campaign, which started in 2013, already has raised $1 million from specific individuals and businesses to continue and expand the group's work. If members can raise the final $400,000, all the money would support the purchase and renovation of a facility at 3502 Parmenter St., in Middleton that houses the MOM food pantry, clothing center and offices.
To learn more about the group's efforts, visit momhelps.org/campaign, where donations can be made online. They also can be mailed to MOM at 3502 Parmenter St., in Middleton, in care of "Building Hope," while building tours and multi-year pledges can be arranged through executive director Al Ripp, at email@example.com or by calling 608-826-3408.
A number of public giving events also will be organized throughout the rest of the year, with more information available at the website at momhelps.org/campaign.
