MADISON - Todd “Toad”/”Too Tall” Boldon, passed away peacefully on Sept. 19, 2012, at the VA Hospital in Madison.
He was born Feb. 26, 1964, in Tomah to parents Karen (Burnstad) and William Boldon. He graduated in 1982 from Mauston High School and enlisted in the Air Force, where he served 10 years active duty, followed by 11 years with the Wisconsin Air National Guard. He retired as a Master Sergeant in 2005.
Todd was an avid Oakland Raiders and Boston Red Sox fan. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing, as well as discussing politics with anyone that would listen, (and even some that wouldn’t). He also enjoyed keeping in touch with friends, past and present.
Since retiring from the Air Force, he became involved with the VFW 8483, where he was recently elected a trustee.
Todd is survived by his soulmate, Donna (Eisele) Royston; his mother, Karen; his children, Jason Edgerton and Whitney Boldon; grandchildren, Tristan and Alexis; sister, Heather Boldon; countless aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; and beloved cats, Sasha and Snickers.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Boldon; his uncles, Don and Eugene Burnstad; and his aunt, Bernie.
A memorial service will be held at VFW Post No. 8483, 5737 Highway CV in Madison, on Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012, at 2 p.m., with a celebration of his life to follow.
Todd’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff at the VA hospital and hospice care unit, for their care and support.
