REEDSBURG—Arlene A. Brandt, age 84, of Reedsburg, died peacefully on Sunday, Nov. 5, 2017, at Our House Senior Living in Reedsburg. She was born on Nov. 23, 1932, in the Township of Excelsior, Sauk County, the daughter of Henry and Leda (Reinfeldt) Haefer. Arlene was a 1950 graduate of Reedsburg High School and a graduate of the Sauk County Normal School. On Feb. 27, 1954, she was married to Reuben L. Brandt. Arlene worked at Hankscraft for over 30 years until her retirement. She enjoyed walking and spending time with her family. Arlene was a faithful member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her two sons, Duane (Diane Koenig) Brandt of Loganville and John (Cindy) Brandt of LaValle; two grandchildren, Amanda (Jeff) Hill and James (Shannon) Brandt; three great-grandchildren, Audrey, Maxwell and Collin; two brothers, David (Barbara) Haefer of Reedsburg and LaMoine (Elaine) Haefer of Cottage Grove; two sisters, Betty Hinze of Reedsburg and Karen (David) Allen of Reedsburg; two sisters-in-law, Marilyn Haefer of Prairie du Chien and Gail Brandt of Tuscon, Ariz.; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Reuben, on Nov. 9, 2006; and two brothers, Edward Haefer and Marvin Haefer.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 10, 2017, at ST. PETER’S EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH in Reedsburg, with Pastor Paul Crolius officiating. Interment will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery. There will be a visitation from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 9, 2017, at the HOOF FUNERAL HOME in Reedsburg, and after 10 a.m. on Friday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Peter’s Scholarship Fund would be appreciated. The Hoof Funeral Home is serving the family.
