MADISON - Henry McKenna Delaney-Potthoff was born in Cambridge, Mass., on March 6, 1985, and died in Madison on March 7, 2015.

Henry is survived by his parents, Sims and Maggie Delaney-Potthoff of Madison; and his brother and best friend, Emmett McMichael Delaney-Potthoff of Madison.

Henry achieved an early graduation from Malcolm Shabazz City High School in Madison, in 2006 and began began his world travels. Henry was a masterful, self-taught guitarist, multi-instrumentalist and brilliant composer. Henry was a highly intuitive, creative force-one of a kind. Henry played lead guitar and recorded with bands from Madison, Amsterdam, New Orleans and Oregon. Henry was a champion of truth and for his entire life, was wise beyond his years. We are crushed.

A visitation will take place on Wednesday, March 11, 2015, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at 5927 Adams Road, Fitchburg. A memorial gathering will take place on Thursday, March 12, 2015, at 11 a.m. at 5927 Adams Road, Fitchburg.
