BLACKHAWK/ SAUK CITY - Warren B. Giese, age 82, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, at his home.

He was born in Baraboo on May 18, 1930, the son of the late Benjamin and Olive (Anderson) Giese. He was married to LaVonne Enge on Aug. 25, 1951, and she preceded him in death on Feb. 15, 1993. He was married to Elaine Koffarnus on Jan. 14, 1995.

Warren farmed and grew up in Troy Township and retired from farming in 1989. He also sold seed corn for numerous companies from 1975 until the time of his death. He enjoyed all sports, especially the Milwaukee Brewers, and his trips to Arizona and Hawaii with Elaine. His family was the most important thing to him, especially his grandkids and great-grandkids. Christmas was his favorite holiday.

Survivors include his wife, Elaine; children, Ron (Jean) Giese, Laurelynn Brey and Craig (Patricia) Giese; grandchildren, Jessica (James) Baetz, Ben (Sara) Giese, Lindsey (Ariel Jaurez) Giese, Eric (fiancee, Mallory Finkel) Brey, Lucas (Christine) Brey, Nathan (friend, Lisa) Meixelsperger, Tezra (Mark) Menne, Erin Meixelsperger and Christopher (friend, Bailey) Giese; great-grandchildren, Jacob, Olivia and Lily; and Elaine's family, Rick (Gwen Shorter) Koffarnus and children Jackie and Larry, Ron (Kris Cleven) Koffarnus, Linda Moon and her children Nathan, Amber and April, Lori (Mark Daspit) Koffarnus and her son Alex, Rhonda (Perry) Lang and her children Ryan, Kyle and Spencer; and a sister-in-law, Phyllis (Bill) Schwartz.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012, at 11 a.m. at BETHLEHEM UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, Blackhawk, with Pastor Kendall Schlittler officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012, at HOOVERSON FUNERAL HOME, Sauk City from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m.
