SUN PRAIRIE - Francis "Frank" P. Hamilton, age 86, of Sun Prairie, formerly Waterloo, passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2013.
Frank was born on Aug. 22, 1926, in Madison, the son of Andrew and Jewell (Murphy) Hamilton. He was a graduate of Marshall High School. He married Theresa Burke on Oct. 3, 1953, at St. Mary's Church in Mineral Point. Frank farmed and worked for Perry Printing in Waterloo for 26 years. He was a member of St. Joseph's Parish, Knights of Columbus and the Foresters. Frank enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, along with golfing and ice fishing.
Frank is survived by his wife, Theresa Hamilton; five children, Tom (Wendy) of Avon Lake, Ohio, Dennis (Colleen) of Carrollton, Texas, Mary Casadonte of Phoenix, Ariz., Jim (Cyndi) of Algonquin, Ill. and Robert (Ann) of Sun Prairie; fifteen grandchildren, Nick, Kelsey, Brad, Katie, Spencer, Casey, Sophie, Rex (Katherine), Grant, Reid, Garrett, Drew, Ty, Leah and Davis. He was also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents; grandchildren, Reese and Carly; sisters, Mary Brady and Ann Holst.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday May 4, 2013, at ST. JOSEPH'S PARISH with Father Michael Radowicz and Monsignor Terry Conners presiding. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
