LINDEN—Sarah Jane Jewell, age 64, of Linden, passed away on Nov. 13, 2017, at her home. She was born in Savannah, Tenn., to James and Hazel (Keel) White. Sarah attended grade school in Linden and graduated from Iowa-Grant High School in 1971. Sarah was loving, generous and humble, always putting other people first and herself last. She was strong and courageous in the face of adversity. Her longest battle was a spinal cord injury she suffered on March 17, 2005. Her greatest joy was her family in Wisconsin and Tennessee.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Eric in a car accident in 2003; and a brother, James White.
Sarah is survived by her husband and partner of 37 years, Jim; her daughter, Paula Griffiths; a sister, Jeanette Schafer of Cobb; four brothers, Ed White of Prairie du Sac, Larry White of Platteville, Earl White of Savannah, Tenn., and Sam Turner; as well as many other relatives and friends in Wisconsin and Tennessee.
A Celebration of Sarah’s Life will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, Nov. 18, 2017, at the LINDEN UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, with Pastor Gerhardt Miller officiating. Friends may call at the church after 10 a.m. Family burial of her cremains will be at a later date.
