LIVINGSTON—Janet R. Kohlenberg, age 72, of Livingston, died on Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2017, after a brief stay at the Fennimore Good Samaritan Society in Fennimore. She was born on Jan. 23, 1945, in Lancaster, the daughter of Charles and Francis (Udeloven) Breihan. Janet was united in marriage to James Kohlenberg on April 2, 1966.
Janet is survived by her beloved husband, James Kohlenberg of Livingston; three children, Jill (Jim) Jentz of Platteville, Jean (John) O’Neill of Benton, and John (Tammy) Kohlenberg of Livingston; seven grandchildren; brother, Charles (Cecilia) Breihan of Lancaster; mother-in-law, Lorraine Kohlenberg of Lancaster; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bob (Norma) Kohlenberg of Verona, Greg Kohlenberg of Sioux Falls, S.D., and Bruce (Cathy) Kohlenberg of Montfort; along with numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews; and a very special lifelong friend, Nola Sitts of Lancaster.
Janet was preceded in death by her parents; sister and brother-in-law, Patricia (Jim) Addison; nephew, Mark Addison; father-in-law, J. Carter Kohlenberg; and sister-in-law, Cathy Kohlenberg.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 9, 2017, at the LIVINGSTON UNITED METHODIST CHURCH with burial to follow in the Rock Church Cemetery, rural Livingston. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 8, 2017, at the SOMAN-LARSON FUNERAL HOME in Montfort and from 10 a.m. until time of service at the church on Saturday.
