LODI - Julianne Kaeser Manchester, age 71, of Lodi, Wis. passed away at her home in Wilmington, N.C., surrounded by family on Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014, due to complications with pancreatic cancer. Juli was born in Madison, on Jan. 13, 1943, to William Vogt Kaeser and Marian McLean Evans. She was an amazing artist, passionate gardener, and loving homemaker, but her most important role in life was that of beloved mother, grandmother and friend. She is missed dearly by everyone lucky enough to have known her.
The most frequently used words describing Juli by family and friends were creative, passionate, loving, caring, free-spirited, kind, thoughtful, generous, beautiful, ethereal, enthusiastic, and simply amazing. Juli was most at home in her beautiful gardens or amongst her incredible art projects. She could make anything beautiful and she could see the beauty in anything she looked at and the humor in even the trickiest situation. Juli had a way of making people feel at ease in her presence they usually left her side feeling better about themselves.
Juli's spirit is carried on by her husband, H. Stewart Manchester of Madison; her daughter, Anabel Manchester Lopez (David Lopez) of Boise, Idaho; and her son, Morgan Kaeser Manchester (Debbie K. Manchester) of Wilmington, N.C.; stepdaughter, Katie Manchester Martin of Newburyport, Mass.; two stepsons, Chet Manchester (Anne Early) of King Ferry, N.Y., and John Manchester (Deb L. Manchester) of Lodi; 11 grandchildren plus one more due in August; her older brother, William E. Kaeser of Waunakee; and her twin brother, Frederick T. Kaeser of Richland Center; and her darling dog, Stella. Juli was preceded in death by her parents, William V. and Marian Evans Kaeser; and her son-in-law, Eric Martin.
A celebration in her honor will be held in Lodi, on Saturday, May 10, 2014. The details and logistics are still being worked out. For updated information please contact Anabel Manchester Lopez at email@example.com. Upon Juli's request, her ashes will be buried in Madison, at Forest Hills Cemetery in the family burial plot.
