MADISON—Devey Lee Parman, age 79, of Madison, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Nov. 4, 2017, surrounded by her family. She was born on Sept. 4, 1938, in Madison, the daughter of Irvin and Eva (Sailor) Hewitt. She married Keith Parman on Feb. 4, 1961. Devey graduated from Madison East High School in 1957. Her favorite time was time spent with family, coaching her son’s baseball teams, attending her grandchildren’s sporting events, and trips to the cabin. She also enjoyed cooking and many nights at Mayberry.
Devey is survived by her husband, Keith; sons, Bob Parman and Ray (Trina) Parman; grandchildren, Robert, Kody (Laura), Olivia and Blake; sister, Sharon (Donald) Davis; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Donald (Marilyn) Hewitt, Robert (Joan) Hewitt and Emerald “Leroy” (Margaret) Hewitt; and sister, Waiva Jean (Keith) Loy.
Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 10, 2017. Visitation will be held at the funeral home 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday.
