JANESVILLE / LA VALLE—Grace A. Pearson, age 86, of Janesville, formerly of La Valle, Wis., passed away on Monday, Feb. 5, 2018. She was born on Aug. 15, 1931, in La Valle Township, Sauk County, Wis., the daughter of Raymond and Nellie (Matteson) Decker. On Sept. 29, 1948, she was united in marriage to Loren Andrew Pearson. They were blessed with four children. Grace was employed by Hankscraft in Reedsburg and Quality Inn, Madison. She was a member of the La Valle American Legion Auxiliary. Grace liked challenging her mind; she enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy, and solving crossword puzzles. She will always be remembered for her love of others and always having room for one more.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Loren; daughter, Beverly Pearson; brother, Robert Decker; sister, Helen Hartje; and special friend, James W. Ray.
Grace is survived by her children, Wayne (Carol) Pearson of DeForest, David (Joanne) Pearson of Beloit, and Ivan (Linda) Pearson of Tennessee; 10 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; sister, Norma (Lloyd) Jones of Windsor; numerous nieces and nephews, along with other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Grace A. Pearson will be conducted at 12 noon, Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018, at the FARBER FUNERAL HOME, Reedsburg. Friends may call on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials of remembrance may be made to the La Valle American Legion Post No. 242.
