LONE ROCK—Maxine L. Pulvermacher, age 73, of Lone Rock, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2017, at Casa de Oakes in Reedsburg. She was born on March 23, 1944, in Lone Rock, Wis., the daughter of Willard and Ethel (Jones) Gundlach. She was married to Ralph Pulvermacher on June 22, 1963. Together they have five daughters. Maxine was a member of Lone Rock Community Congregational Church.

Maxine was a very loving and generous individual. She had a heart of gold, and always wanted everyone to be happy. She spent a lot of time volunteering in the Lone Rock community. Maxine was an avid sports fan; she enjoyed watching all sports, especially those involving her daughters and grandchildren. Maxine was a wonderful cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family. Baking Christmas cookies with her grandchildren was a particular highlight. She knew how to have fun, and enjoy life. She cherished spending time with her family and friends playing cards, bowling, dancing, and taking road trips. With her adventurous spirit, she was always willing to try something new. Maxine’s greatest joy in life was being a mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Ralph Pulvermacher of Lone Rock; five children, Sue (Gregg) Vetesnik of Richland Center, Jodi (Brian) Frank of Spring Green, Paula (Richard) Carpenter of Lone Rock, Gena (Brent) Clarson of Cross Plains, and Shari (Chad) Price of Spring Green; grandchildren, Garrett (fiancée Demi Price) Vetesnik, Danielle Vetesnik (fiancé Kyle Wagner), Rachel (Bryan) Bee, Nate (Megan McLaughlin) Frank, Shae (Shane) Ferguson, Michael (Kyrie) Carpenter, Kayla (Bryan) Radel, Vanessa (Jameson) Duhr, Sydney Clarson, Mackenzie Price, and Lucas Price; great-grandchildren, Bryce, Camryn, Brody Ferguson, and Ophelia Carpenter; siblings, Marilyn (Terry) Halverson, Tootie (Don) Pulvermacher, and Jack (Kenda) Gundlach; and her sisters-in-law, Donna Pulvermacher, Janet Pulvermacher, and Agnes Sickels. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Donnie Gundlach.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, Nov. 13, 2017, at 11 a.m. at LONE ROCK COMMUNITY CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH. The Rev. Craig Peach will officiate with burial to follow in the Lone Rock Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday, Nov. 12, 2017, at RICHARDSON-STAFFORD FUNERAL HOME in Spring Green from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. and on Monday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lone Rock Splash Pad, Lone Rock Veterans Memorial, or a memorial of choice. Online condolences available at www.staffordfuneralhomes.com.
