MONONA / SILVERTHORNE, Colo.—John “Beau” Beaurline Schuette passed away on Dec. 9, 2017, due to a sudden heart attack.
Beau was born in Madison in 1982 and grew up in Monona. He was a graduate of Monona Grove High School. He attended St. Olaf College and Madison Area Technical College before moving to Colorado to pursue his interest in cooking through the Culinary Arts Program at Colorado Mountain College.
Beau loved the outdoors. He started snow skiing just short of his 3rd birthday. He enjoyed camping with his family and cousins during elementary school years. From third grade through middle school, part of his summers were spent canoeing and hiking in northern Wisconsin through Camp Manito-wish YMCA. During his teen years he became an avid wakeboarder and snowboarder. Deer and turkey hunting with his father and friends also rounded out his outdoor activities. Soccer was his preferred organized sport through school. Beau loved the beauty of the Rocky Mountains in Colorado. There he continued his outdoor activities and expanded his interests to include fly fishing and fly tying.
Left to mourn his sudden passing and celebrate his life are his parents, Barb and John; his beloved sister, Mandy; and his steadfast canine companion, Jeffy. He also is survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Luella and Richard Westlake and Myrth and John Schuette, as well as his uncle, Jay W. Anderson.
A celebration of Beau’s life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 6, 2018, at the FIRST UNITARIAN SOCIETY, 900 University Bay Drive, Madison, Wis.
