BOSCOBEL - Sue A. Waltz, age 65, passed away at her home on March 16, 2013, surrounded by her family.
She was born March 11, 1948, to the late W. Kenneth and Geraldine Collop Mock. She married Frederick E. Waltz on Aug. 3, 1968, at Immaculate Conception Church in Boscobel. Sue was employed with State Farm Insurance for 38 years and the last 31 years as the agent in Boscobel. She was proud to become one of the first female agents in the organization and she received numerous awards and acknowledgements throughout her career, until her retirement in 2011. She enjoyed traveling, reading, cooking, antiquing, camping at River of Lakes, and spending time with family and friends.
She will be deeply missed by her husband of 44 years, Frederick Waltz of Boscobel; daughter, Wendy (Dennis) Butler of Franklin; son, Wade (Jessica) Waltz of Madison; grandchildren, Brenden and Maggie Butler; mother-in-law, Dorothy Waltz; special uncle, Tom C. Waltz; and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister-in-law, Judith L. Waltz; and brother-in-law, Edward F. Waltz.
Memorial services will be held at noon on Friday, March 22, 2013, at UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, Boscobel located at 104 Buchanan St. Friends may call at the church on Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of the services.
The Beeman-Patchak Funeral of Boscobel is assisting the family. The family wishes to thank the staff of Boscobel Area Healthcare, UW-Madison Healthcare, and the Grant County Hospice for the care and support shown to Sue and her family throughout the years.
