HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) -- Vladimir Guerrero homered and had four hits, and Jordan Romano pitched six scoreless innings as the New Hampshire Fisher Cats topped the Hartford Yard Goats 7-1 on Wednesday. The Fisher Cats swept the three-game series with the win.
Romano (7-0) picked up the win after he struck out five and walked two.
New Hampshire started the scoring with a big third inning, when it scored five runs, including a two-run home run by Cavan Biggio.
The Fisher Cats later tacked on a run in both the fifth and seventh innings. In the fifth, Guerrero scored on a sacrifice fly before he hit a solo home run in the seventh.
Jesus Tinoco (4-4) went four innings, allowing five runs and seven hits in the Eastern League game. He also struck out four and walked three.
With the win, New Hampshire improved to 8-1 against Hartford this season.
