In the midst of preparing for the Rose Bowl and semester exams, three members of the University of Wisconsin football team will make time for a good cause Thursday.

Senior guard John Moffitt, senior quarterback Scott Tolzien and junior wide receiver Nick Toon are scheduled to appear at the annual Rounder's Club holiday benefit for needy children.

The event will take place starting at 11:30 a.m. at Fitzgerald's in Middleton. A turkey dinner with all the trimmings will be served. An auction and drawings will be held. Tickets are $13, which includes a tip.

Proceeds from the get-together benefit Roundy's charities through the Empty Stocking Club.

The Rounder's Club is named for Roundy Coughlin, the late sports columnist for the Wisconsin State Journal.
