The University of Wisconsin football team has received a fourth oral commitment for the 2014 recruiting class.
Connor Sheehy, 6-foot-4, 260 pounds, a junior defensive end from Milwaukee Marquette, has committed to UW. He could play end or tackle for the Badgers, depending on how much he keeps growing.
The Badgers already have four commitments for the 2013 class from defensive linemen, including two ends (Brookfield East's Alec James and Brookfield Central's Chikwe Obasih) and two tackles (Darius Latham of North Central High School in Indianapolis and Sam Raridon of Valley High School in West Des Moines, Iowa).
Sheehy finished last season with 80 tackles and six sacks. He also had an offer from Michigan and was attracting interest from Michigan State and Northwestern.
Sheehy earned his UW offer with a strong performance at its summer camp. He made an unofficial visit to the school over the weekend.
The 2014 class has four oral commitments, a high number for this early in the recruiting cycle. The other commitments are from Monona Grove offensive lineman Jaden Gault, Hartland Arrowhead offensive lineman George Panos and Sturgis, Mich., quarterback Chance Stewart.
