Senior forward Ryan Evans left the University of Wisconsin men’s basketball team’s practice on Thursday night with a right knee injury.

The severity of the injury, which occurred before practice was open to the media, is unclear.

A team spokesman said that Evans is being evaluated by medical staff and is day-to-day.

Evans, who has started 64 consecutive games, leads the Badgers in rebounding (7.6) and is third in scoring (10.5).

He’s one of five seniors who will be honored before their final home game on Sunday when No. 17 UW (20-8, 11-4 Big Ten) hosts Purdue (13-15, 6-9) at noon at the Kohl Center.

I see you folks read the Milwaukee paper this morning. WSJ = yesterday's J-S.

Jammon - You do realize this article was written around 7 last night, and the injury occurred last night? Unless the MJS can see the future I don't think they were much quicker at reporting this news.
