Junior forward Zach Bohannon is putting a full-court press on Barack Obama in an attempt to get the president to join the University of Wisconsin men's basketball team in a pickup game Thursday at the Kohl Center.

Obama, whose passion for the game of basketball has been well-documented, will be in town to make a speech on Bascom Hill.

Bohannon, who sat out last season after transferring from Air Force, took to Twitter on Wednesday in an effort to convince Obama to break a sweat with the Badgers after this speech.

Among Bohannon's tweets:

"sir, release some stress after your big debate tonight & come get a run in w/ the #Badgers basketball team tomorrow!"

"Sir, I know you're preparing for your debate, but what you can't debate is how fun playing hoops with the #Badgers would be!"

"Sir, Wisconsin is a swing state? We can teach you how we run the #Badgers swing offense!"

"Sir, we also won't hold against u that u picked against the #Badgers in our 2nd game in the NCAA tourney last year #WeStillWon"

"sir, we will save u the time & money of going to the White House after we win the national title, if u come play w/ us tmw!"

Will Bohannon be rewarded for his efforts? He tweeted late Wednesday afternoon that his request to Obama had reached the White House staff.
