In a span of just 36 minutes Monday morning, undergraduates gobbled up their allocation of season tickets to University of Wisconsin football games this fall.
Tickets went on sale at 7:30 a.m. to full-time undergraduate students — which includes incoming freshmen and transfers — and were gone by 8:06 a.m.
The seven-game package costs $154.
There are some student tickets left, but they are reserved for full-time graduate and professional students, who can purchase them starting July 7 at 7:30 a.m.
Student football season tickets have sold out in each of the past 17 seasons.
Also, UW announced Monday that its general public renewal rate rose to 98 percent after being finalized in recent weeks.
Meanwhile, men's hockey season tickets remain for undergraduates and go on sale to graduate and professional students in conjunction with the football sale.
Student men's hockey season tickets for 25 regular season home games and WCHA first-round playoff games played at the Kohl Center are $125. Student men's hockey season tickets have sold out in each of the past five seasons.
