Gary Andersen's starting salary as University of Wisconsin football coach is estimated to be between $1.8 million and $2 million, a university source told the Wisconsin State Journal.

The source spoke on the condition of anonymity because he is not cleared to disclose salary information.

That’s in line with what Kevin Graham, the program director at KFAN-AM in Salt Lake City, reported on his Twitter account.

Graham said Andersen’s UW contract is for five years and will pay him $1.8 million in the first year, with $100,000 raises each year. That means year five, in 2017, would be worth $2.2 million.

Andersen had a base salary of $550,000 this season at Utah State and made more than $700,000 total, with incentives factored in.

Former UW coach Bret Bielema was due to make $2.7 million this season with the Badgers.

Gary "Show Me The Money" Andersen is a Liar and Traitor. He will leave UW after telling everyone how much he loves it there and it is the place for him to be...then someone will come along and offer him a penny more and he is gone....Hopefully he will lose and you will throw the bum out on his "A" and he will have to struggle to get on as assistant coach. I hope that Utah State gets another opportunity to play UW with the jerk on the other side.

The more i read about this guy he is worth far more than that. After his first 2 years, and say he is very successful he could [and should be by todays standards] worth 2.8-3.2 M or more.
If BARRY and the UW system is not ready to pay at least that much, BARRY could be searching for another new coach in a couple years.
Because the big money schools will want him if there is an opening...
