The University of Wisconsin football team hopes to practice at Lambeau Field in Green Bay this spring.

According to an ESPN.com report, UW athletic director Barry Alvarez spoke with Green Bay Packers CEO and president Mark Murphy on Thursday about the arrangement and the Badgers will move forward with the idea pending Big Ten approval.

A UW official confirmed the team’s desire to practice on the field where they will open the season Sept. 3 against LSU. It remains unknown how many practices the Badgers are looking to hold at Lambeau.

UW opens spring practice March 12 and will play its spring game at Camp Randall Stadium on April 23.
