That was then: Mark Tauscher, a Marshfield native, was a fifth-year senior and UW's starting right tackle in the 2000 Rose Bowl vs. Stanford.
This is now: In his 11th season with the Green Bay Packers, Tauscher is on injured reserve with a shoulder injury.
As he recalls: "I got to go to Disneyland and they had a parade. I got to go in the parade (on the main float with players like tailback Ron Dayne and offensive tackle Chris McIntosh). They spelled my name wrong (on the float) and put me as an outside linebacker. I kind of got brought back into reality quickly. ... At that point, I didn't know I was going to go on to play pro football. I was going to soak it up, thinking maybe this was going to be the last game I played in. So, I wanted to enjoy it."
