The Question

With no room for error in its pursuit of a Big Ten Conference title, would UW rebound or regress?

The Answer

The Badgers rebounded nicely against their favorite whipping boys, securing Paul Bunyan's Axe for the seventh straight year.

The Unforgettable

Embattled Minnesota coach Tim Brewster, upset the Badgers attempted a two-point conversion with a 25-point lead in the fourth quarter, chastised UW coach Bret Bielema during their postgame handshake.

The Performance

With three tackles for loss, sophomore linebacker Mike Taylor made his strongest statement yet that he's all the way back from multiple knee injuries.

The Stat of the Game

Despite averaging 22.6 yards per completion, the Gophers were 3-for-13 on third down.

That Says it All

"They just ran the ball at will against us. That was really disappointing."

-- Minnesota coach Tim Brewster

The Postscript

Minnesota coach Tim Brewster was fired a week later and the Gophers finished 3-9 overall, 2-6 in the Big Ten Conference.
