Meghan Duggan and Hilary Knight scored two goals apiece as the University of Wisconsin women's hockey team completed a weekend sweep of Ohio State with a 5-2 victory Saturday night at the Kohl Center.
After a hard-fought overtime victory Friday, the top-ranked Badgers (6-0-0, 4-0-0 WCHA) dominated play Saturday as they outshot the Buckeyes (4-2-0, 2-2-0) by a 48-18 margin.
Duggan gave the Badgers a 1-0 lead with a power play goal in the first period. Knight followed with her first goal of the night to make it 2-0.
The Buckeyes got on the board with a goal by Tina Hollowell early in the second period, but Knight answered with her seventh goal of the season to put UW up 3-1.
Natalie Spooner's goal cut the lead to 3-2 after two periods.
Carolyn Prevost made it 4-2 with a goal late in the third period and Duggan scored an empty net goal in the final seconds.
