The UW men's hockey team lost the first time it played on Halloween to a program that no longer exists. Its 3-1 road setback to St. Louis University came in 1975.

The Badgers also lost the last time they played on Halloween. A 3-2 decision at North Dakota capped a winless October in 2008 (0-6-1).

Overall, UW is 4-6 playing on Halloween, which will be the case Saturday night when it looks to follow up a 4-1 win by sweeping a non-conference series from New Hampshire at the Kohl Center.

Due to changes in both lineups from the series opener, here's an oddity: There are as many Wisconsin natives playing for the Wildcats as there are for UW (three).

For New Hampshire, sophomore defenseman Blake Kessel is from Madison, freshman right winger Scott Pavelski is from Plover and junior right winger Mike Sislo is from Superior.

For the Badgers, senior left winger Andy Bohmbach is from Hudson, junior right winger Patrick Johnson is from Madison and senior left winger John Mitchell is from Neenah.

The UW lineup has two changes: junior goaltender Scott Gudmandson for junior Brett Bennett and junior center Sean Dolan for junior winger Podge Turnbull.
