On the heels of its third straight series split, the University of Wisconsin women's hockey team fell four rungs to No. 9 in the latest USA Today / USA Hockey Magazine poll.
The Badgers (3-3, 3-3 WCHA) -- who have lost the series opener and won the finale each weekend this season -- host No. 2 Minnesota on Friday and Sunday at the Kohl Center.
The puck drops for both games at 2:07 p.m.
Mercyhurst remains No. 1 with 14 of the 19 first-place votes but the Gophers gained more ground this week and now have the other five first-place ballots.
