MILWAUKEE -- Regardless of whether Chris Chelios ever makes it back to the NHL for a 26th season, he demonstrated Wednesday that at 47 he still has the skills.

The former University of Wisconsin athlete -- a member of the Badgers' 1983 NCAA championship team -- made the pass that resulted in Tim Stapleton's go-ahead goal midway through the third period as the Chicago Wolves downed the Milwaukee Admirals 4-3 in an American Hockey League game at the Bradley Center.
"It's always nice to come back to Wisconsin; my wife is from here, and I've got a lot of relatives and family here," Chelios told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel in a story for Thursday's edition. "There were a lot of old Badgers' jerseys I saw."
Chelios has six assists in six games since signing a free-agent contract with the Wolves on Oct. 20.
